Hi,
Im on SM and I want to be able to do Gold Shows but I believe I need to be using the HD encoder, ive downloaded it.
But cant seem to figure out how to use it or stream through it.. are there any links to any instructions? Does anyone know?

hi hon, here how to ajust the settings:
2. Video settings
Follow these steps to configure your video settings, and verify on the screenshots on the right that you have the same settings.
- On the left side, select "Custom" on the Preset select box.
- Check the "Video" box and select your webcam device.
- Follow the following instructions for the different fields:
Format: H264
Framerate: 29.97 fps
Input size: 640x480 (check the Maintain aspect ratio box)
Bit rate: 800 kbps
Output size: 640x480
- Next to Format, click on Wrench and set the advanced settings as follow:
Profile: Main
Level: 3.0
Keyframe Frequency: 1 second
- Check the Deinterlace box at the bottom.

3. Audio settings
Follow these steps to configure your audio settings, and verify on the screenshots on the right that you have the same settings.
- Check the "Audio" box and select your microphone device.
Format: Mp3
Channels: Mono
Sample rate: 44100
Bit rate: 56

4. Panel options
- For preview, make sure the "Input Video" box is unchecked
- Check "Output Video" and "Audio" box
- Select output in the Panel options dropdown and follow the following instructions for the different fields:
Make sure "Stream to Flash Media Server" is checked
Delete all text in FMS URL, Backup URL and Stream fields
Check "Auto Adjust"
Select "Degrade Quality"
Next to Auto Adjust, click on Wrench and set the Settings as follows:
Change "Maximum Buffer Size" to 5
For Degrade Quality Settings, set "Minimum Video Bitrate" to 100
Uncheck "Save to File"
Panel options
5. Save your settings
Save your settings so you don't have to configure the encoder again:
Click on "File" > "Save profile"
Choose a name for your settings file, Streamate for example
Your encoder is now configured, proceed to step 3 to start streaming HD!

Configure your chat client
With the Flash Media Encoder open, follow these steps to configure your chat settings, and verify on the screenshots on the right that you have the same settings.
- On the upper left select "External Encoding" in the "Quality" dropdown. (You won't see yourself in the chat, don't worry, it's absolutely normal, you'll see yourself only in the external encoder)

Click to start your show. A window will pop up with 2 URLS in blue:
Select the first one and copy it
Paste it in the FMS URL field in the encoder
Next, select the Stream URL and copy it
Paste it in the Stream URL field in the encoder
Click on the green "start" button in the encoder (NOT THE CONNECT BUTTON but the green button at the bottom of the encoder)
Stream to Flash Media Server
3. Voilà! You're now streaming in HD using the encoder
IMPORTANT:
- When connected and streaming, You won't see yourself in Streamate as you normally do. This is absolutely normal, you need to keep the Flash Media Encoder open in order to see your video while streaming.
If you get any trouble look at the help tab in your model page,at the Encoder
