Can anyone help? Rental movie question

Unread post by sultryshelley »

Hi all

I uploaded my first rental movie yesterday. Thought I had followed all their guidelines and rules, but it was rejected this morning with the following message:

"Thank you for your recent submission to the Movie Rentals area of AdultWork.com. Unfortunately your movie was rejected for the following reason:

There has been an error with the encoding of this video, please re-upload.

Guidelines about what is and is not acceptable in terms of content, quality, size and duration can be found on the page where you registered the movie."

Does anyone know what this means and what I need to change with the movie? I know re-uploading the same movie after it has been rejected is not permitted but the rejection reason doesn't really tell me to change anything. Or, is it a case that there was just an error with getting it to work on their part and I just need to put it up again exactly the same and hope it works this time? I did originally upload it as a .wmv file which is what they request.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi, this is the important bit "There has been an error with the encoding of this video"

Eg, its been uploaded in a format they are unable to handle.

Do you have windows movie maker on your computer? Usually preinstalled on most windows, open and resave as wmv.

.wmv is a wrapper, .wmv is accepted but there must be another issue with it.

If you are unable to get it working feel free to https://www.wetransfer.com/ or similar and send to admin@dailypayservice.com and we'll add it to your profile.

Thanks

Thanks admin, your help is much appreciated.

Very odd as I made it with movie maker and it is saved as a .wmv I have had no issues with uploading my clips this way before, it's just the rental they don't seem to like so hopefully this is a one off and will be easy to fix!

I will give it another go and if it still won't work will do as suggested above and ask if you can kindly add it to my profile.

Many thanks again for your help
