Hi Admin
Can someone please clarify the percentage cut that it taken on movie clips and private gallery sales please?
I was under the impression it was 36% as this is what is written on your site in the "how to calculate pay" section and also this makes sense as there is no 5% just cam fee on these.
However, I was working out my pay today and it was just over £1 short. However, when I charged my movie clip sales at a rate of 41% instead of 36% it worked out to exactly what I received in my account.
Out of interest (and too much time on my hands!) I went back over the last few days when I have also sold movie/gallery pics and did the sums for them too. I checked sales from the the 12th September and then the 5th, 7th and 8th as well. In all instances, the funds I received in my account tallied with a fee of 41% being applied to my movie/gallery pics. When I changed the rate to 36% for movie/gallery, pay was very slightly short on all these days. We are only talking a pound or so on each occasion so nothing major, but it does add up over time so I thought I had better check what percentage is meant to be charged?
If it is now 41% then if you can let me know that would be great as I may have missed an announcement on this. However if it is meant to still be 36% I thought I should make you aware of this in case someone at your end is not aware and is charging an incorrect rate in error.
Many thanks

Re: Percentage taken on movies/gallery pics?
Hi, I just checked your account for today's earnings and everything is correct our end. Content percentage is 36%, it hasn't changed. Your pay for today was spot on. I will be happy to breakdown your earnings for you and check any dates that you would like checked.
Thanks

Re: Percentage taken on movies/gallery pics?
Thank you Annabelle
Yes, if you could confirm how you work things out that would be great, as I just can't seem to make it add up when I charge the movie clips at 36%.
Here is what I am doing and this is in relation to yesterday the 12th September:
Direct cam earnings of 325.17 minus Direct cam positioning fees of 16.06 = 309.11 minus 41% = £182.37
Movie clips: 16.16 minus 36% = £10.34
Add the two together = £192.71
Amount received in bank account is £191.91
Difference = £0.80
As I say, it is not a huge amount, but I can't see where I am going wrong in my calculations, so if you can let me know it would be appreciated as I like to be able to work things out accurately, so if I am doing something wrong it would be good to know what.
Many thanks

Re: Percentage taken on movies/gallery pics?
Hi, I understand it is only a small amount that adds up. Your calculations are correct until you get to your direct cam positioning fees. We always take this off the 36% earnings.
Here's how it was worked out below:
Content (gallery, movies etc) 16.16 - 16.06 (DC frees) = 0.10.
0.10-36%= 0.06p
Directcam - 325.17 - 41% = £191.85.
£195.85 + 0.06p = £191.91 profit.
Thanks

Re: Percentage taken on movies/gallery pics?
Ahh, thank you for clarifying that.
I presumed that direct cam positioning came off the direct cam earnings rather than off movie clip earnings, my mistake
Thank for for clearing that up all makes sense now!
