Quick run down of recent events regarding AW's fee increase

Hi, info in this thread is no longer valid as DP members dont pay VAT anymore.



Hi everyone, this is a quick post for members who dont know about the 20% extra fee being charged by AW recently, as we have been getting alot of messages about pay being wrong.

These events have been heavily covered on these forums, the AW forums, twitter and via mass emails to any members signed up to these forums (which we recommend all members to have done).

On the 1st Oct AW now charges an extra 20% on their fee, this is due to VAT.

After this DP reduced their fee to help members.

The new rates on AW are now:

-41% for content, tips, webcam bookings etc
-46% for directcam.

ps, DP members currently do not need to fill out any extra forms at all on AW.

DP members no longer have to fill out any forms at all.

We will be calculating VAT to be refunded to your bank/payout method. This may take a few days.

Hi, no date at the moment. I would have to re-calulate all members earnings over a ten day period then check against numbers in system. When we send the refunds members will be getting them before AW refund us so I have asked them to clarify how the refunds will be working before we start to process them.

It'll be processed in sections once AW let us know how the refunds are to be handled.

Was hoping to get a good start at it today but need the answer first as we cant refund members on something we havent been refunded on ourselves.

Hi, no refund from AW as yet, still in progress as our numbers are rather large but we will be starting to make payouts tomorrow. As there is around 1000 members to calculate and progress it wont be a quick process but we'll be working on it.

Hi, still working on them sorry, most have already been sent, just finishing off the last.

We are still miles ahead of AW in the refunds though as most normal members still havent got theirs.

How do I get mine back off AW then? Wasn't aware I could lol. I paid VAT before changing over to DP. Will they eventually refund me credits and you then pay it to me or will it go direct to my bank account?
