Advise needed

Ok so today I get a letter from the vat people ref Phonesex and webcam , I'm reg self employed phone chat provider , so thought strange as I'm reg to pay ni and tax if I make plus 8k in a year but just ni if under that .. So I phone them up and turns out aw are under investigation by HM n customs as are all providers to make sure we are all paying tax . They got my info as I attempted to make a application for a premium number but didn't go ahead too much hard work , but he did say over the next little while they I'll be going thro the active members and have done so already to a few . So u guess just a heads up for anyone not reg self employed to get it done , you can earn 8k before you need to pay tax but you will need to pay nationAl insurance stamps . Xx
